Global IT and digital transformation service provider Softline has acquired Indian cybersecurity solutions and services company Value Point Systems. The deal value was not declared.
More than 2,000 clients of Bengaluru-based Value Point Systems will now have access to Softline’s full range of products and services. Softline plans to improve its operations and expertise throughout the Indian subcontinent with this acquisition, said the deal announcement.
Value Point System currently employs more than 12,000 people across seven offices in India and has more than three decades of experience in the industry.
Softline acquires Value Point Systems
VPS provides end-to-end cyber security solutions and has previously collaborated with partners such as Zscaler, VMWare, Microsoft, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, AWS, Cisco, and CrowdStrike. The company provides six end-to-end services, including cybersecurity, data center modernization, network transformation, cloud transformation, digital workplace, and IT managed services.
NTT reported that about 96.3% of Indian businesses see the cloud as the next generation of business infrastructure and something they must adapt to protect their online assets. Softline aims to help those businesses and guide them to efficiency, speed, and security.
With this acquisition, Softline can provide cloud and cybersecurity solutions to India-based tech firms, which will ultimately bridge the gap between security and the market as the merger will increase the area of influence across sectors in India, said the deal announcement.
After VPS is acquired, Softline will add the capabilities of VPS’ Security Operation Center to its offering for global cybersecurity. According to the release, Value Point Systems’ cybersecurity integration skills and consulting services would complement Softline’s current offerings.
“We are truly excited to become part of Softline. Thanks to this new step in our company’s journey, we will now be able to grow beyond our highest expectations and will also have access to the world’s top vendors’ solutions and services and Softline’s portfolio,” said RS Shanbhag, founder, chairman and CEO at Value Point Systems, in the deal announcement.
