The Cyber Express has announced the launch of the India Edition of World CyberCon 2022. The one-day event will take place on November 18, 2022, at Courtyard Mariott, Mumbai. It is the first edition of India’s cyber security event that embraces and espouses the theme “Unlocking India’s Potential in the Cyber-Realm.”
Cybersecurity is growing at a rapid pace and developing nations like India are on the hot seats to become pioneers in the industry. Over the years, India has already shown progress in addressing the key concerns of IT security policies. Government bodies like CERT-In and the IT ministry are also equipping businesses and business owners with the knowledge, governance, and policies to safeguard their online presence.
Reports indicate that the cyber security market in India is estimated to reach close to 290 billion rupees by 2025. There has also been a hiring spree for cybersecurity professionals in India.
“The increasing number of cyber attacks in India has led to the need for more cybersecurity professionals in the region. Companies are hiring experts who can anticipate and prevent attacks before they happen,” noted Augustin Kurian, Editor in Chief, The Cyber Express. He continued, “There are numerous opportunities in the cybersecurity industry in India, which is way higher than that of the US and the UK. Some of the most sought-after positions in India include those in the areas of a security analyst, security architect, network security engineer, and chief information security officer.”
At the event, Mihir Joshi, Vice President, CISO, ZebPay Crypto Exchange, will discuss CSMA – Interoperability and Uniformity. He will discuss the layers in CSMA with a few examples and the implementation approach.
Ashton D’Cruz, Director, CAO, CGO, CISO & Head – CC&S Governance, NatWest Corporates and Institutions, will offer his thoughts on assessing the ROI of deploying a robust cybersecurity framework, balancing act between being secure and delivering a seamless user (customer/staff/stakeholder) experience, and finally, the biggest challenges in cybersecurity.
Shashank Bajpai, CISO, CredAble, will talk on ‘Securing the Distributed Workforce of the Enterprise’. In his session, he will shed light on how working from home and anywhere decentralizes a lot of corporate security controls like firewalls and network access controls – how to protect sensitive data with such a workforce.
He will also talk about how collaboration tools like Teams and Zoom have gained much significance and what steps need to be taken to secure the shared data points across such collaborative SaaS platforms. He will also talk about tackling the rising issues of Shadow IT – as business teams are increasingly adopting cloud-based products and API based-integrations with production systems.
With this event, The Cyber Express invites industry leaders to explore the opportunities available in the world to offer a range of cybersecurity services and navigate through threat actors effortlessly.
