Prince Harry Phone Hacking Incident Puts Royal Family In Jeopardy

According to Harry, it was only in 2018 that he became aware of the phone hacking claims and began to pursue legal action with different representation.

Prince Harry Phone Hacking: Prince Harry has recently made a startling accusation against the royal family, claiming that they deliberately kept him in the dark about phone hacking to prevent him from bringing a claim that would “open a can of worms.”

In a witness statement submitted as part of his civil claim against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers, Harry revealed that he had been conditioned to follow the family’s rule of never complaining.

According to him, it was only in 2018 that Prince Harry phone hacking incidents came to the fore and he began to pursue legal action with different representation.

However, he was convinced that the royal family had been withholding crucial information from him for a long time, which became clear to him in recent years.

In fact, he claims that the institution had made it explicitly clear that he did not need to know anything about phone hacking and that they would not sit in the witness box to avoid the potential fallout.

What’s more, accusations of Prince Harry Phone Hacking don’t stop there. He alleges that he only discovered that other members of the royal family had been involved in phone hacking claims against the press when he moved out of the United Kingdom in 2020.

This revelation has undoubtedly rocked the royal family and raised serious questions about their handling of the press and their treatment of their members.

Prince Harry phone hacking incident pulls more individuals into the drama

The allegations of Prince Harry Phone Hacking and others against Associated News keep pouring in, with actress Elizabeth Hurley and activist Doreen Lawrence providing shocking testimony about the extent of the phone hacking scandal.

Hurley revealed how the media company had hired a former military and British Telecom phone expert full-time to help them eavesdrop on private conversations, with cassette recorders always kept hidden to avoid detection.

And the price for such illegally-obtained recordings? A cool £2,000 in cash slipped into an envelope.

But Hurley wasn’t the only one to suffer at the hands of Associated News. Doreen Lawrence, the mother of the murdered teenager Stephen Lawrence, spoke of feeling betrayed by the Daily Mail and its supposed support for her son’s case.

Lawrence claimed she was subjected to covert electronic surveillance at a café she frequented for private conversations while also alleging that corrupt payments had been made to police officers.

The explosive testimony was heard on the second day of the preliminary hearing at the High Court, where lawyers for Associated News tried to argue that certain documents used by Prince Harry and other claimants were confidential.

But with such damning evidence piling up, it seems unlikely that Associated Newspapers Limited will be able to escape the fallout of this scandal unscathed.
