Toronto-based Bragg Gaming Group, a provider of content and technology solutions for the online gaming sector, announced that it was the target of a cybersecurity incident early on Saturday, August 16, 2025, CEST time. The company discovered the Bragg Gaming Group cyberattack over the weekend and immediately took decisive action to limit potential damage.

After confirming the incident, the gaming company reached out to independent cybersecurity experts to assist in investigating the Bragg Gaming Group cyberattack and to mitigate any ongoing risks. The company emphasized its commitment to following industry best practices throughout the remediation process.

The Bragg Gaming Group cyberattack was detected early, allowing the company to implement protective measures quickly. According to the official statement, the breach was contained within Bragg’s internal computer environment. The company reassured customers and partners that the incident had not affected its ability to operate or access data.

The Bragg Gaming Group Cyberattack: Limited Impact, No Evidence of Personal Data Loss

Based on preliminary investigations, Bragg Gaming Group believes the cyberattack was limited in scope and did not involve any customer or partner personal information. The company has made it clear that, to date, there is no indication that any sensitive personal data was compromised.

Additionally, Bragg confirmed that the breach has not disrupted the company’s core operations. The company remains fully functional and able to continue providing services without interruption. This is a critical point, as many cyberattacks result in operational downtime or loss of access to crucial data, but Bragg’s quick detection and containment efforts appear to have prevented such outcomes.

“We are taking this matter very seriously and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of data security,” Bragg stated. The company asked for patience from its stakeholders as it works to fully resolve the incident. Updates on the situation are being posted regularly on Bragg’s official website, bragg. group, ensuring transparency as the investigation continues.

Growing Cybersecurity Concerns in the Gaming Industry

The cyberattack on Bragg Gaming Group comes at a time when cyber threats to the gaming industry are on the rise. Previously, Polish game developer Big Cheese suffered a similar cyberattack. According to the Polish Press Agency (PAP), Big Cheese Studio was targeted early in January.

The attack on Big Cheese Studio reportedly involved hackers gaining access to the company’s game code and personal data of its employees. The hackers demanded a ransom payment of 100,000 zlotys (roughly $24,887) in cryptocurrency, threatening to publicly release the stolen data if their demands were not met. Following the attack, the company’s website was taken offline as it worked to secure its systems.

This sequence of attacks highlights the increasing risk faced by companies in the gaming industry, where intellectual property and sensitive employee data are prime targets. The Bragg Gaming Group cyberattack serves as a reminder of the importance of rigorous cybersecurity measures to protect against evolving threats.

Despite the breach, Bragg Gaming Group has maintained operations and appears to be managing the incident effectively. The company’s proactive approach and engagement with cybersecurity experts demonstrate a strong commitment to data protection in a challenging landscape.
