A significant cyberattack has plunged several French municipal governments into chaos as their shared servers came under a relentless assault, leaving vital services inaccessible to residents. The city of Saint-Nazaire, along with the Saint-Nazaire Agglomération, found themselves crippled by the cyberattack on French municipal governments which unfolded on Tuesday, April 9.
Residents were alerted to the disruption, with officials confirming that the assault was ongoing and impeding normal operations.

David Samzun, Mayor of Saint-Nazaire and President of the Agglomeration remarked on the resilience of the community in the face of adversity. “Faced with this unprecedented and large-scale aggression which attacks the public service, the teams are keeping a cool head and rising to the challenge,” he stated, emphasizing the collective resolve to overcome the crisis.
