Belvedere Vodka, renowned for its premium Polish rye vodka, has found itself entangled in an unexpected cyber debacle. The brand’s UK X account has fallen victim to a phishing campaign orchestrated by purported Uniswap customers.
This peculiar Belvedere Vodka phishing scam comes amidst a digital standoff between Uniswap Labs and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
Reports indicate that the compromised Belvedere Vodka UK X account has undergone a dramatic transformation. It now showcases Uniswap content, devoid of any profile pictures, and redirects users to the Uniswap website.
Notably, these alterations commenced on April 11, 2024, marking a shift from the account’s original activity, which ceased in February 2020.
Belvedere Vodka Phishing Scam Leverages Uniswap Controversy

The digital skirmish between Uniswap Labs and the SEC has inadvertently embroiled Belvedere Vodka UK. The hacked account serves as a platform for Uniswap users to voice their dissent against the SEC, with numerous Uniswap supporters engaging in discussions and amplifying Uniswap-related posts.

Curiously, the involvement of Belvedere Vodka UK X in this unfolding saga remains unknown. The Cyber Express has reached out to organizations to learn more about this Belvedere Vodka phishing scam and the mitigation strategies being implemented against it. Uniswap Vs SEC Battle Continues
Meanwhile, the rift between Uniswap Labs and the SEC continues to escalate. The SEC’s recent issuance of a Wells notice to Uniswap Labs signals a potential legal showdown. This development mirrors the regulatory agency’s broader crackdown on digital asset enterprises, exemplified by recent actions against Coinbase.
Uniswap, a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform facilitating crypto trading and liquidity provision, finds itself at the epicenter of this regulatory decision. The SEC’s stance on the classification of tokens as securities highlights the complexities inherent in regulating digital assets.
As the situation unfolds, questions persist regarding Belvedere Vodka’s inadvertent entanglement in the Uniswap-SEC debacle. This is an ongoing story and The Cyber Express will be closely monitoring the situation. We’ll update this post once we have more information on the Belvedere Vodka phishing campaign or any official confirmation from the organization.
